Architecture
Designed by the renowned architect Jeanne Gang of Studio Gang Architects, the St. Regis Chicago is an impressive example of modern design. The building consists of three interconnected towers of different heights, which step down toward the lakefront, creating a dynamic, flowing shape. This design not only offers panoramic views from every side but also forms a "canyon" effect that guides light and air, helping to reduce wind forces on the building and its surroundings. The facade is a glass curtain wall that reflects the constantly changing sky and water, making the building seem to shimmer.
Interior Design
The interior design by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA), Los Angeles, seamlessly blends luxury with timeless elegance. Inspired by the natural allure of crystals and gemstones, the design creates a sophisticated and harmonious atmosphere. It features sleek lines, rich textures, and a balanced integration of form and function. A standout element is the introduction of four unique design palettes, each inspired by a different gemstone. This innovative approach allows residents to personalize their living spaces with finishes that reflect their individual styles while maintaining a cohesive, upscale aesthetic throughout the building. The four gemstone-inspired palettes offer a variety of bespoke options, elevating the overall residential experience.
Sapphire:
This palette offers a crisp, polished look with cool, deep tones. It is inspired by the brilliance and intensity of sapphires, featuring hues of indigo, Italian white lacquer cabinetry, and Montclair Danby marble countertops.
Amethyst:
Soothing and romantic, the amethyst palette creates a soft, inviting space. It features subtle violet tones, hardwood floors, and Madreperola quartzite, reflecting the calming and lush energy associated with the gemstone.
Topaz:
The topaz palette brings warmth and a welcoming ambiance to the interiors. Inspired by the sun's energy, it is characterized by luminous tones, oak wood flooring, white Italian marble, and sea pearl quartzite.
Fluorite:
This palette draws from the vibrant energy of fluorite crystals. It uses richer, darker shades accented by warm bronze, creating a sophisticated and welcoming atmosphere with materials like walnut wood, golden quartzite, and bronze fixtures.
By offering these distinct, yet interconnected, palettes, the interior designers provide a bespoke living experience that is both luxurious and deeply aligned with the building’s unique vision.
The interiors are a direct response to the building's dramatic architecture. High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows are maximized to flood the spaces with natural light and frame breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. The design team used a palette of natural stone, high-quality wood, and luxurious finishes to create serene and elegant living spaces.

Location
Situated in the vibrant Lakeshore East neighborhood, the St. Regis Chicago boasts one of the city's most desirable addresses. It is just steps away from some of Chicago's most famous landmarks, including Millennium Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Magnificent Mile. The building's prime location on the banks of the Chicago River offers residents and guests easy access to scenic riverwalks, boat tours, and an array of shops and restaurants, blending urban convenience with tranquil waterfront living.
Why would I like to live there?
Of course, the building features world-class amenities, luxurious interiors, and stunning Snaidero kitchens, but my favorite part is the view. Especially the east-facing units with balconies overlooking the lake are very special and make you feel like you're not in a city but more at peace.
Just step outside, and you'll find yourself in one of my favorite parks in Chicago.
